3-minute HOT CHOCOLATE

Ingredient/Recipe notes:
- This recipe tastes like Ovaltine, without any refined sugar and chemicals used in processed foods
- Unsweetened dark chocolate is pure and unadulterated, containing equal parts cocoa solids and cocoa butter
- Cacao powder is unrefined and rich in beneficial plant compounds, such as flavanol, an antioxidant that literally protects the heart. Avoid boiling on high heat for nutrient preservation
- Date sugar is a whole food containing fibre, preventing blood sugar spikes from refined sugar. An earthy and healthy sweetener

INGREDIENTS
1 cup organic milk of choice (whole dairy and oat milk works well)
10g unsweetened dark chocolate (70%+ cacao, choose organic if possible)
1/2 tsp date sugar
1/2 tsp cacao powder
DIRECTIONS
1. Heat a small pot over low heat, add milk.
2. Cut dark chocolate into 'shavings' by carving the edge of chocolate block, repeat until the entire piece is 'shaved'. Alternatively, use a grater.
3. Once the milk is warm, add shaved chocolate, whisk well as the chocolate starts to dissolve.
4. Add date sugar, whisk.
5. Once everything is dissolved, turn heat off and whisk in cacao power.
6. Pour into a mug and let cool before serving.
